Abdelaziz Elamin

A professor at the department of pediatrics, CMHS, AGU. He is a Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist.
He graduated from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. Following a 4-year residency program, he obtained a doctoral degree in pediatrics & child health. He was then trained at Great Ormond Street hospital in London and other hospitals in the UK before obtaining his MRCP (UK) certificate. He got a PhD degree from Uppsala University in Sweden and received specialized training at Pittsburgh University in the US. Later he was awarded both the FRCP (London) and the FRCPCH (UK).
He is a member of the WHO EMRO type 1 diabetes experts’ committee and is an examiner to the clinical examinations of the Arab Board Pediatric exam and the MRCPCH (UK) exam.
He has more than 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include type 1 diabetes, childhood obesity and growth hormone studies.


Abdulla Ismaeel

Dr. Abdulla Mohamed is a general surgery , diabetic foot and wound care consultant. He is currently an assistant professor of surgery in the department of surgery, College of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Arabian Gulf University - Kingdom of Bahrain. He is a medical graduate of the Arabian Gulf University who has obtained his degree in general surgery in 2019 through Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. He has obtained his membership with the Royal college of surgeon in Ireland in 2016 (MRCS). He has recently finished a fellowship in Vascular and diabetic foot surgery in Imperial college London. He has recently obtained a Master’s degree in Surgical education from Imperial college London. He is a member in Bahrain medical society, International Association for Medical Education and the international Association of Diabetic Foot Surgeons.


Adla Bakri

Dr Adla Bakri Hassan, an Associate Professor at internal medicine dept at Arabian Gulf University and Consultant Rheumatologist at King Abdulla Medical City, Manama, Bahrain. Dr Adla graduated from Gezira University in Sudan, where she did her first 4 years training, then did her postgraduate studies in Medicine and Rheumatology at Karolinska Institute and Karolinska Hospital (Stockholm, Sweden) and Hope Hospital (Manchester, United Kingdom). She also obtained her PgDip in MSK ultrasound from UCAM university (Spain). She has experience over 25 years treating patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases in Sudan, Sweden, UK, and Bahrain. She has over 45 publications in peer reviewed journals and is a member of review boards for many peer-reviewed journals.


Alaa Elmazny

Dr. Alaa Elmazny graduated with distinction, earning her MBBCh degree in Medicine and Surgery from Cairo University. Continuing her academic pursuits, she went on to achieve a Master's degree in Neuropsychiatry in 2011 and a Ph.D. in Neurology in 2015.
Dr. Elmazny's expertise has been acknowledged with the prestigious Fellowship of the European Board of Neurology, awarded to her in 2022. She served as a principal investigator in research projects focused on multiple sclerosis, headache and epilepsy and has also served as a peer reviewer for various indexed journals.
Currently, Dr. Elmazny serves as a consultant neurologist at King Abdullah Medical City in Bahrain, holds the position of an assistant professor of internal medicine at the Arabian Gulf University, and is also an associate professor of neurology at Cairo University.

Amer Alderazi

Dr. Amer Alderazi is a Bahraini medical professional and healthcare leader with extensive experience in surgery, academia, and organizational leadership. He holds a Masters degree in Health Economics and Health Policy from McMaster University, Canada, where he also completed fellowships in general, laparoscopic, and bariatric surgery.
Dr. Alderazi is the CEO of the Middle East Hospital in Bahrain and serves as President of the Bahrain Medical Society. He is also the Vice President of the Bahrain Cancer Society and holds leadership positions in regional and international medical organizations, including being Secretary-General of the Arab Medical Union and President of the Gulf Obesity Surgery Society.
A dedicated academic and researcher, Dr. Alderazi has published extensively in medical journals, supervised surgical training programs, and participated in numerous global conferences. Recognized for his contributions to medicine and public health, he has been awarded several honors, including the prestigious Prince Salman Bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit.


Amgad El-Baz

Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt, in 1984. In 1997, he received a Medical Doctorate in Internal Medicine in Egypt. He has achieved several fellowships, including a Fellowship from the American College of Physicians (FACP) in 2012, a Fellowship from the American Society of Nephrology (FASN) in 2012, and a Fellowship from the American Society of Transplantation (FAST) in 2018. He is currently a Professor of the Internal Medicine Department at the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Arabian Gulf University (AGU), and a Consultant Nephrologist at King Abdulla University Medical City (KAMC) in Bahrain. He is also a Professor of Nephrology at the Urology & Nephrology Center, University of Mansoura, Egypt. He has published over 88 articles in peer-reviewed indexed journals and delivered over 100 presentations and lectures at various local and international conferences. He serves as an Editorial board member in 4 clinical journals and a reviewer in 6 academic medical journals.

Diaa Rizk

Professor Diaa Essameldin Ali Rizk MB BCh (Hons), MSc (Hons), FRCOG, FRCS, MD, Dip BA, is the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Arabian Gulf University, Manama, Bahrain from September, 2014 till present and was the Director of the Clinical research Centre at the College from September, 2023 to September, 2024.
As a trainee physician, he received training in Obstetrics and Gynecology then in General Surgery (Urology and Colo-rectal Surgery) at Ain Shams University Hospitals, Cairo, Egypt (1985-1989) and several teaching hospitals in the UK (1990-1994). He obtained MRCOG (Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) in 1991 and FRCS (Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons) in 1993. He also obtained MSc (Master of Science) with honors in 1987 and MD (Medical Doctorate) in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1994 from Ain Shams University and Dip BA (Diploma in Health Care Administration) in 1994 from the American University in Cairo, Egypt. He was admitted to FRCOG (Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) in 2004.
As an academician, his research interests- besides Urogynecology- include Reproductive and Women’s Health, Community Gynecology, Medical Education, History of Medicine and Biomedical Journalism. He has published over 170 original articles, special contributions, editorials, reviews and case reports, 3 book chapters and 95 abstracts in peer-reviewed and indexed scientific journals with a current h-index of 39. He is the co-editor of the book: “Insights into incontinence and the pelvic floor” published in 2022. He was one of the Editors of the International Urogynecology Journal (the official journal of IUGA) from 2007-2020 and currently serves on the International Editorial Board of Urogynecology Journal (the official journal of the American Urogynecologic Society- AUGS). He has organized postgraduate multi-disciplinary educational courses on female pelvic floor dysfunctions for the International Continence Society [ICS] and IUGA.

Currently, I'm working as Associate prof. of internal medicine & gastroenterology at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), Bahrain. I have long experience in both clinical and academic fields as Professor and consultant at Qena Faculty of Medicine- South Valley University (SVU), Egypt for more than 15 years. My subspecialties and main interest are Gastrointestinal Endoscopy & Hepatology reflected through my work in the intervention Endoscopy (upper&lower endoscopy, band ligation, polypectomy, APC and gastric balloon). I lead the Fibroscan unit in Qena with special research interest in NAFLD/MASLD reflected through clinical and research stays Wuerzburg, Germany and Royal Free Hospital – London.
I have great interest to strategic planning and internationalization of higher education. In this frame, I had coordinated the activities of the partnership of SVU with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with the title ''DAAD Research Ambassador''. With extensive experience in medical education, and clinical training, he has been instrumental in shaping family medicine education and practice in the region.

I have more than 14 years of experience as a Family and Community Medicine Consultant and Medical Rehabilitation Specialist at the University of Dammam. I have mire than 20 years experience in Ministry of Health in different leadership positions and practicing in My clinic as family physician beside my specialty In Medical Rehablitation . During my work in Ministry of Health, I established Community Based Rehablitation program, also I am the founder of Rehabilitation Center , Home health Program , Family medicine Department, and Palliative Care in King Fahad Specilist Hospital - Dammam. I am passionate about advancing the field of medicine and health care through innovation, design thinking, and digital transformation. I have founded and hosted two podcasts, Compass and Innovation in Health Care & NGOs, that aim to correct misconceptions about health and diseases, raise awareness of the importance of innovation in the 4th Industrial Revolution, and share practical skills and case studies. I am also a trainer in leadership, innovation, future skills, social entrepreneurship, and soft skills, and I help build startups using agile and lean methodologies. I have contributed to the digitization, digital transformation, and introduction of virtual care during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. Prof Taysir is a full-time professor of medicine in medical department in Arabian gulf university.
In addition worked as part time consultant cardiologist in king Hamad university hospital. Is working as part time in the university medical Centre in Arabian gulf university. Ha had access to interventional cardiology in Bahrain specialist hospital for coronary angiography and angioplasty.
Obtained the fellow ship of cardiology and medicine from the Royal college of medicine of Ireland.
Got MD and Master degree of interventional cardiology in trinity College of Dublin. His main interest is the CT angiography and cardiac MRI in addition to medical simulation Had 44 medical publication in indexed international Journal mainly on cardiac pulsed echo Doppler studies in patients with sickle cell disease..
He is the founder of the medical simulation program in Arabian gulf university since 2017.

Yahya Mohamed Naguib has spent a lifetime dedicated to a career marked by innovation, leadership, and university service. journey of a career has spanned decades, detailing achievements, pivotal moments, and ongoing commitment to excellence. Dr. Yahya Mohamed Naguib is an experienced professor of medical and clinical physiology with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education. He is skilled in medical education, research, innovation, quality assurance and accreditation, public speaking, people management, and training. Following the completion of all his pre-university education in Bahrain, he attended the Faculty of Medicine at Menoufia University in Egypt, graduating with a MBChB in 1995. A commitment to continuous learning led to earning an MSc in physiology from the same university in 2003, and a PhD in Vascular biology from the University of Leeds, UK in 2009. Since then, he has been shaping his career as a distinguished university professor and an academic and education consultant.
Yahya Mohamed Naguib has demonstrated an outstanding teaching portfolio being able to deliver up-to-date physiology concepts to medical as well as all health alliance students both on the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He supervised PhD and MSc degrees and led several student projects which were eventually published. Simultaneously, has been at the forefront of medical research, contributing to numerous publications that have been published in world class journals including Nature, Cardiovascular Diabetology, American Journal of Physiology, Cell Calcium, Molecular Pharmacology, Frontiers in Psychology, and many other peer reviewed journals. He presented his work on different local, regional, and international platforms both academic and industrial. His key areas of focus include cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. He has also built interest in neurobehavioral physiology where he published several substantial papers.
